Achievements: –

  • Colin Ingram’s debut match was against Zimbabwe in 2010 and he announced himself to the international stage in style by scoring a century, being only the 6th player in the history of the game and the first South African to do so.
  • Was the star cricketer for his college and played for them for 5 years, leading them for 3 years as well.
  • Assisted his current club team in South Africa, Chevrolet Warriors in the final of the champions league twenty 20 in 2010 and performed exceptionally well in the 2015 season.

These are just some of the records that Ingram has made so far. He wasn’t able to cement his place in the South African national team because of the constant change in his batting position as well as his injuries. The time at which Colin Ingram was rising in the team, there were already many legends in the team like De Villiers and Kallis who were almost irreplaceable. Because of this, he signed a Kolpak deal with the Glamorgan team, which changed his career and lead him to a path of recovering his old form.

His off the field life is completely opposite to his game style. Being explosive and swashbuckling in the game, he leads a very peaceful and calm life with his family. He has an official account on Twitter with the user id @CAIngram41. One can easily see that he certainly enjoys spending time with his family and that’s why decided to sign up with a team of his hometown only.
