Karachi Kings is one of the popular T-20 teams in Pakistan. This team participates in Pakistan Super League, a yearly tournament. The fourth edition will begin from February 14 in United Arab Emirates (UAE). This team represents Karachi which is the provincial Capital of Sindh, Pakistan. Karachi Kings has retained Babar Azam, Colin Munro and Mohammad Amir in Platinum group. When it comes to Diamond group the retained players are as follows; Usman Shinwari, Colin Ingram (Ambassador) and  Imad Wasim (Captain). In the Gold group, the team has retained Ravi Bopara and Mohammad Rizwan. The franchise also took a major move and did not retain Shahid Afridi in the team.

Karachi Kings History in THE PSL

In the year 2016, the team lasted at the fourth position in the league table with six losses and two wins. While in 2017, they finished third in the league table with four wins and four losses. In 2018, with five wins and four losses, they ended up in the second position in the league table and they got out of the tournament in the second eliminator match.

 

Major Names in 2019 Squad

One of the major names in the team is Babar Azam who is currently the world’s number one T-20 batsman. Another significant name in the team is Colin Munro, who occupies the 2nd position in the ICC rank of T-20 batsmen. These two are considered important Karachi Kings Team Players 2019.

 

Big International Names in the Team

The squad for PSL Karachi Kings also includes some key international players. They are Liam Livingstone of England, New Zealand’s Colin Munro, who is known to be a big hitter, former England’s Ravi Bopra who is an all-rounder and Colin Ingram of South Africa.

The performance of the team Karachi Kings has not been very overwhelming.  But their PSL 2019 Squad seems to be promising with new and retained players of high caliber. Wasim Akram, who was a former Captain of the Pakistan national team and one of the greatest fast bowlers of all the time has also joined the team this year as the president.
