The world of cricket has been expanding on a larger scale in recent years. The T20 format is widely popular and loved the most by cricket fans all over the world. So, the national leagues have adapted the T20 format to attract masses from every corner of the planet. The Indian Premier League, The Australian Big Bash, The English Cricket Board League, and the Pakistan Super League have established their supremacy and popularity over the leagues’ cricketing world. But over recent years, Cricket South Africa’s T20 Challenge has been on the lips of every cricket maniac.

CSA T20 challenge is scheduled for Feb 07, 2022. Standing on the top of the league’s winners list is the Titans with six championship titles. The defending champions of the league are Imperial Lions. The goal of this South African T20 event this year is to provide intense exposure and a platform to showcase their abilities for the upcoming T20 World cup.

 

History of the league

The cricketing board of South Africa, the CSA, established the T20 challenge league in 2003-04. Throughout the tenure of the challenge, it has gone through various name changes. It was called the Standard Bank Pro20 series, MiWay T20 challenge, and Ram Slam T20 challenge in its previous editions. Six franchise teams have been an active part of the CSA T20 Challenge, but Zimbabwe was an active participant during one season.
