The Pakistan Super League 2023 (PSL 8) edition is just around the corner. A minor initiative of the Pakistan Cricket Board has grown to an internationally acclaimed event. PSL which took its formative root since 2015 has become a routine yearly event, attracting attention of cricket lovers and generating excitement among astute cricketers globally. The schedule for 8^th PSL edition has been announced according to which first match will be played on February 13, 2023. The PSL Draft event is now completed post that all franchises have finalized their respective squads.

The upcoming event will be held wholly in Pakistan. Karachi and Lahore will be the hosting cities. The opening ceremony will take place in Karachi. Final match and the closing ceremony will take place in Lahore. No wonder some international cricketers from South Africa and Australia are participating in the 8^th Edition to add color to the event of 2023.

PSL 8 News and Updates

Feb 27, 2022: Lahore Qalandars won the PSL 7 by defeating Multan Sultans with 42 runs.
June 24: Multan Sultans won the PSL 6 by defeating Peshawar Zalmi with 47 runs.
March 01: The match between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators has been rescheduled to March 2nd, 2021, due to Covid-19 Pandemic.
Peshawar Zalmi sets Dananeer Mobeen as their Brand Ambassador for the 2021 event.

PSL Teams

Yes indeed, the 8th edition of PSL will be full of glamour and excitement than the six previous editions. A total of 6 squads will be slugging it out with each other during the epic battles on various cricket tuffs. View all team squads in the PSL T20 league.

DATES

The 8^th PSL will be held wholly in Pakistan. Following are the important dates in the tournament:

Opening Ceremony: February 13, 2023

Important Matches:

The 8th Edition of Pakistan Super League is tailored in a format that each squad plays each other twice in the league stages.

Opening match: The opening match will be played between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars, the previous title holder, on Monday, 13th February, 2023 in Multan. The match will start at 7:00 PM according to Pakistan Standard Time.

Eliminator matches: Both of the Eliminator matches will be played in Lahore on 16^th and 17^th of March 2023 respectively.
THE FINAL MATCH: Match day is Sunday, 19 March in Lahore. The final match between the winners of Eliminator-1 and Eliminator-2 shall play the Final Match to determine the new KING of Pakistan Super League Season 8.
